To ensure maximum benefit and long-lasting hair removal, you will need to pair your device with the free beurer MyIPL App. The app provides everything you need for safe, professional use of your Beurer IPL device at home.
The MyIPL App automatically creates a personal treatment plan, depending on your individual hair and skin characteristics; recommends the ideal energy level based on your hair, skin tone and the area being treated; and plans your treatment dates with a reminder function and calendar view
NB: SKIN TONE, HAIR COLOUR & AREA OF INTENDED USE: THE IPL DEVICE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ALL HAIR COLOURS, SKIN TONES OR AREAS OF THE BODY

SKIN TONE: You cannot use the device on naturally dark skin tones. IPL hair removal can have adverse effects on dark skin tones, such as burns, blisters and changes in skin colour.
HAIR COLOUR: The device is usually ineffective if you have particularly light, white, or grey hair. Some users have noticed results after multiple hair removal sessions.
IPL is not always effective on red hair.
Brown and light brown hair will usually respond to treatment but require more hair removal sessions.
The device works best on black and dark brown hair, with lighter skin tones.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS & HOW DO YOU ENSURE PERMANENTLY HAIR FREE SKIN?
18-24 MONTH HAIR GROWTH CYCLE:
Permanent hair removal with IPL devices generally requires use over at least one full hair growth cycle. The typical hair growth cycle is between 18 to 24 months. IPL treatment can only target hairs in the active growth phase (refer to the "hair growth cycle" image). Depending on the treated area, skin type, and individual factors, IPL hair removal may take multiple treatments over several weeks or even months to effectively deactivate all hair follicles and show noticeable results. The underarms, lower legs, and bikini line generally have longer hair growth cycles. To achieve best results, it’s important to follow the recommended treatment schedule as outlined in the MyIPL app.
MAINTENANCE FOR PERMANENTLY HAIR FREE, SMOOTH SKIN:
To ensure lasting results once the initial MyIPL treatment plan is complete, you can create a personalised treatment plan as needed using the MyIPL app and your Beurer IPL device. Again, keep in mind that initial complete hair removal may take 18 to 24 months. In addition, hormonal or other physiological changes can reactivate dormant hair follicles. If you notice a slowdown or halt in hair growth, you can switch to maintenance touch-up sessions. For optimal results, especially if you want to ensure hair-free skin in summer, it’s best to continue maintenance treatments during the winter months.

Skin cancer, either currently or in the past, or if you have had potential malignancies on the skin areas to be treated.

Herpes or psoriasis in the treatment area unless you have consulted a doctor and received preventative treatment.
If you are photosensitive or suffer from another form of light sensitivity, such as porphyria, polymorphic photodermatosis, solar urticaria, lupus, etc.
Metabolic disorders, such as diabetes.
Blood clotting disorders.
WARNING: DO NOT USE THE DEVICE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES IF YOU ARE TAKING ANY OF THE FOLLOWING MEDICATION:
Medication that makes the skin more sensitive to light, including non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (for example, aspirin, ibuprofen, paracetamol), tetracyclines, phenothiazines, thiazide diuretics, sulphonylurea, sulfonamide, DTIC, fluorouracil, Vin - Blast - Ine, Grise - Oful - Vin, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), Retin-A , Accutane and/or topical retinoids.
If you are undergoing or recently underwent treatment with azelaic acid.
If you have been on a course of steroids in the past three months.
If you have had a skin exfoliation treatment or other skin smoothing procedure in the last six to eight weeks.
If you have undergone radiation or chemotherapy in the past three months.
DO NOT USE THE DEVICE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
On mucous membranes in the nose or throat area.
On or next to an active implant, such as a pacemaker or a device for incontinence, insulin pump, etc.
On the face above the cheekbones, around the eyes, eyebrows, or eyelashes, as this could result in severe damage to the eyes.
Women should not use the device inside the margins of the bikini line (please refer to the instruction manual for details in this regard)
Men should not use the device on the scrotum
On areolae
On nose, and ears
On piercings or other metal objects, such as earrings or jewellery.
On tattoos or permanent make-up in the area to be treated.
On dark brown or black patches, such as large freckles, birthmarks, moles, blisters, or warts.
On eczema, psoriasis, lesions, open wounds, or acute infections. Wait until the affected area has healed before using the device.
On damaged or cracked skin or in areas at risk of malignancy.
On an area of your body where you may like to have hair in the future.

WARNING TO SUNBATHERS BEFORE & AFTER TREATMENT
Please note that the device should not be used for a period before or after sun tanning or using a sun bed. Please follow the instructions in the manual in this regard.
Wait 24 hours after using a sauna/swimming pool, as the chlorine may lead to skin irritation.
INITIAL USE:
Before you can start the application, you must first complete the following:
1. Using the hair and skin colour chart (on the back page of the instructions for use and in the colour chart image in the images here), check which intensity level is suitable for you. An “x” in the table indicates that the device is not suitable for you to use.
2. Before each application, shave the body parts that you wish to treat. Do not use a hair removal cream instead of a razor.
3. Ensure that the skin areas to be treated are shaved, dry and clean (free from any residue such as powder, cream, make-up, or deodorant).
4. If you are ready to proceed with treatment, follow the usage instructions in the instruction manual very carefully. The instructions include application methods; special instructions for facial treatments; the application cycle; and what to do after treatment.
ATTENTION: When using the device, you can expect to hear a crackling noise with every light pulse. You will also feel a warmth and a prickling sensation on your skin from the light energy.
