GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR BEURER HEATED BLANKET:
The electric blanket should be placed directly on the mattress and covered with the bottom sheet.
Make sure that the heated underblanket is spread out entirely flat and that it will not rumple up or crease when in use.
The control must never be covered or placed on the heated underblanket when it is in use.
The quickest way to heat up the heated underblanket is to select the highest temperature setting of the control, first.
We strongly recommend switching on the heated underblanket approximately 30 minutes before going to bed and covering it with the quilt or duvet to prevent the warmth from escaping.
If the heated underblanket is being used over several hours, we recommend that you set the lowest temperature setting on the control to avoid the body overheating and thereby any potential burns to the skin or heat stroke.
NB NOTE ON HEAT: Please note that due to strict European safety standards the blanket warms up to a very comfortable warm temperature which enhances the effect of the cosy fabric and never gets very hot.
THE OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 CERTIFICATION:
Your heated pad is skin-friendly and safe, made with textiles certified by the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 through the Hohenstein Research Institute. This certification ensures the product is free from 100 harmful substances, meets strict ecological standards, and is tested annually based on the latest scientific and legal updates. All Beurer textile products carry this certification, guaranteeing safety for both users and the environment throughout the product’s life cycle.
THE BEURER SAFETY SYSTEM:
Safety is the most important issue when it comes to flexible heating products. We are well aware of this responsibility and therefore use the well-tried and well established Beurer Safety System in our heated products. The electric sensor technology prevents overheating in case of misuse by automatic switch-off, securing the highest possible safety. Safe and undisturbed sleep at a pleasant temperature.
The blanket cannot be switched on again if the Beurer Safety System has been triggered.
NB NOTES ON MACHINE WASHING:
Machine washable up 30 degrees Celsius on an extra delicate cycle once the control has been removed.
Please note that frequent washing has a negative effect on the product. The device should be washed a MAXIMUM OF 5 times in the washing machine during its life.
Small marks can be removed with a damp cloth or sponge and, if necessary, with a little liquid detergent for delicate laundry.
If you are going to machine wash the blanket, remove the control.
Set the washing machine to a particularly gentle wash cycle (lowest spin rpm) at maximum 30 degrees Celsius (wool cycle).
Use a delicate laundry detergent and measure it out according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Do not chemically clean, wring out, tumble dry, put through a mangle, or iron.
Immediately after washing, reshape to the original dimensions while wet and spread it out flat over a clothes horse to dry.
Do not use pegs or similar items. Failure to do so may cause damage.
Do not reconnect the control until the plug-in connector and the heated device are completely dry. Failure to do so may cause malfunction. Never switch the heated device on to dry it as there is a risk of electric shock!!
The control must never make contact with water or other liquids. Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean it. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaning agents.
