GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR BEURER HEATED BLANKET:
The quickest way to heat up the heated underblanket is to select the highest temperature setting of the control, first.
We strongly recommend switching on the heated underblanket approximately 30 minutes before going to bed and covering it with the quilt to prevent the warmth from escaping.
If the heated underblanket is being used over several hours, we recommend that you set the lowest temperature setting on the control to avoid the body overheating and thereby any potential burns to the skin or heat stroke.
HEAT:
Please note that due to strict European safety standards the blanket warms up to a very comfortable warm temperature which enhances the effect of the cosy fabric and never gets very hot.
THE OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 CERTIFICATION:
Your heated pad is skin-friendly and safe, made with textiles certified by the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 through the Hohenstein Research Institute. This certification ensures the product is free from 100 harmful substances, meets strict ecological standards, and is tested annually based on the latest scientific and legal updates. All Beurer textile products carry this certification, guaranteeing safety for both users and the environment throughout the product’s life cycle.
NB NOTES ON MACHINE WASHING:
Machine washable up 30 degrees Celsius on an extra delicate cycle once the control has been removed.
Please note that frequent washing has a negative effect on the product. The device could be washed in a washing machine once per season, if necessary, and a maximum of 5 times during its life. Immediately after washing, reshape to the original dimensions while wet and spread it out flat over a clothes horse to dry. Set the washing machine to a particularly gentle wash cycle (lowest spin rpm) at maximum 30 degrees Celsius (wool cycle). Use a delicate laundry detergent and measure it out according to the manufacturer's instructions. Do not chemically clean, wring out, tumble dry, put through a mangle, or iron. Small marks can be removed with a damp cloth or sponge and, if necessary, with a little liquid detergent for delicate laundry. Do not use pegs or similar items. Failure to do so may cause damage. Do not reconnect the control until the plug-in connector and the heated device are completely dry. Failure to do so may cause malfunction. Never switch the heated device on to dry it as there is a risk of electric shock!! The control must never make contact with water or other liquids. Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean it. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaning agents.
USE WITH A PACEMAKER:
The electrical and magnetic fields emitted by this heated device may interfere with the function of a pacemaker. However, they are still well within the limits: electrical field strength: max. 5000 V/m, magnetic field strength: max. 80 A/m, magnetic flux density: max. 0.1 millitesla. Please consult your doctor and the manufacturer of your pacemaker before using this heated device.
