How To Get the Most from your Beurer Germany BM 54 Blood Pressure Monitor
Consistent Monitoring
Measure twice daily in the morning and evening at the same times. Rest for 5 minutes beforehand. Wait 30 minutes after eating, smoking, drinking, or exercise. Avoid stress and allow 5 minutes between repeated measurements. Repeat if results seem unusual.
NB: Keep away from strong electromagnetic fields (e.g., mobile phones).
Proper Cuff Placement
Use the arm with higher BP readings and consistently use the same arm. Position the cuff 2–3 cm above the elbow directly over the artery. Ensure clothing does not restrict blood flow.
Correct Posture
Sit upright with back supported. Rest your arm on a solid surface. The cuff must be at heart level. Keep feet flat, remain still, and do not talk during measurement.
Important Warnings
Use the device at room temperature.
Blood pressure varies naturally – rely on regular measurements rather than a single reading. This device does not replace professional medical diagnosis or treatment. Consult a healthcare provider if concerned.
Not for use with pacemakers, metal implants, or over wounds / areas under vascular treatment, or post-mastectomy/lymph node clearance. Do not use rechargeable batteries.

- How much is delivery, and how long does it take?
- Free on orders of R650 or more; orders below R650 pay R95. Usually 2 to 3 working days from the day we send your order, anywhere in South Africa.
- How long is the warranty?
- 5 years from the purchase date on this product. Registering it online makes a claim quicker; keep your receipt as well.
- My product is faulty. What do I do?
- Email warranty@beurer.co.za with your proof of purchase and a description of the fault. We collect the product, our technical team in Johannesburg assesses it within 5 to 7 working days, and we email you the outcome. If the fault is covered, we replace the product.
- Can I return it?
- Yes, within 30 days of delivery if it is unused, in its original packaging with all accessories. We arrange and pay for the courier. For hygiene reasons, products that have been used on the body cannot be returned.
- Upper arm or wrist blood pressure monitor?
- Upper arm monitors are generally more accurate; wrist monitors are compact and convenient but must be held at heart level during the reading. If you are unsure, choose upper arm.
